It was 1974, and after first tests with the Ferrari 312B3 Proto, Niki Lauda informed to Mr Enzo that the car was “a piece of shit”. Some months later, in Jarama Circuit (Madrid – Spain), the young Niki Lauda won his first F1 Gran Prix with a Ferrari 312B3.

A Customer asked me to built the kit: “Ok, no problem, I will do it”. And you are reading a little post about the really fantastic experience building the Niki’s car (it took 80 hours to do it). I hope you enjoy with my last posts and with the future ones too!
Last year I went to Goodwood FOS and the car was there!!! I took some photos and I talked with the owner and his wife. A really fantastic man with a really fantastic car.
Corría el año 1974, y tras los primeros test con el Ferrari 312B3 Proto, Niki Lauda le decía al Señor Enzo que el coche era “un pedazo de mierda”. O el coche era malo de verdad o Niki le echó un par de cojones al tema… Sea como fuera, unos meses mas tarde, en el circuito del Jarama, en Madrid, el joven Niki Lauda ganaba su primer Gran Premio de Formula Uno con su Ferrari 312B3.

Un cliente me llamó y me preguntó si podría montarle uno, a lo que gustosamente le dije que sí. En pocas líneas, y ayudado de algunas fotos, he ido mostrando las primeras partes del trabajo realizado durante algo mas de 80 horas de trabajo, pero aun quedan mas y mas posts del montaje de cómo quedó finalmente la maqueta. Este año pasado tuve la oportunidad de ir al Goodwood FOS y casualidades de la vida, el coche estaba allí. Le hice un montón de fotos y pude charlar con el dueño actual y su mujer, un matrimonio encantador.
